Step Trapezoid:

Step Trapezoids are one of the most commonly used of all nontraditional shapes, contrary to popular belief; they’ve been around for a very long time, with examples showing up frequently in antique jewelry at auction houses. They’re best when paired with Emerald or Asscher Cut diamonds or colored gemstones. They can also be used with Radiant or Cushion cut diamond, colored diamond or colored gemstones when a contrast of brilliance &/or color is wanted. To create a dramatic 5-Stone ring Step Trapezoids can also be together with either a Taper Bullet or Taper Baguette on the outside or multiple graduating Step Trapezoids can be set within a channel for a more unique look.



Brilliant Trapezoid:

Brilliant Trapezoids are a modern twist on the Step Trapezoid, most commonly paired with Radiant, Princess or Cushion Cut diamonds, colored diamonds or colored gemstones. Brilliant Trapezoids are also available with a crescent inner edge for pairing with rounded center stones, such as Oval, Cushion or Round.



Crescent Trapezoid:

Crescent Trapezoids, very similar to Brilliant Trapezoids are cut with an inner crescent edge, allowing the stone to fit up & follow the contours of a rounded center stone like an Oval or Round stone. They work equally well with a colorless center stone where the shapes blend together or when paired with a colored center, the contrast in shapes are more highlighted with the color contrast.



Trilliant:

Trilliants are one of the most versatile of all shapes; they can be paired with any shape center diamond or colored gemstone. Trilliants are also available with a crescent inner edge for pairing with curved center stones, such as Oval, Cushion or Round.



Crescent Trilliant:

Crescent Trilliants, are very similar to traditional Tr are cut with an inner crescent edge, allowing the stone to fit up & follow the contours of a rounded center stone like an Oval or Round stone. They work equally well with a colorless center stone where the shapes blend together or when paired with a colored center, the contrast in shapes are more highlighted with the color contrast.



Princess:

Princess cuts are a traditional shape that’s most commonly paired with Princess cut diamond center stones. They can also be used for earrings when a more modern look is wanted.



Pear:

Pear Shapes are very traditional shape that can be used in traditional or cutting edge designs. They’re most commonly paired with rounded center stones, such as Round, Oval, Cushion or Pear shape diamond or colored gemstone center stones. Pear shapes are the quintessential shape for dramatic drop earrings.



Taper Bullet:

Taper Bullets are one of the most versatile shapes; they can be paired with any shape center diamond or colored gemstone. As a step cut, they’re most commonly paired with Emerald or Asscher cut diamond or any shape colored gemstone. They can also be used with Half Moons or Step Trapezoids to create a dramatic 5- Stone ring. Also available in a brilliant cut, which pair best with brilliant cut center stones.



Brilliant Bullet:

Brilliant Bullets are very similar to Taper Bullets but with brilliant faceting, they’re the perfect match for Cushion, Radiant, Princess or any other brilliant faceted stone.



Shield:

Shields are a very versatile shape that is similar in style to a Pear shape, they can be paired with rounded center stones such as Round, Oval, Cushion & Pear or with a straight sided center stone such as Radiant, Princess, Emerald or Asscher cut.



Crescent Shields:

Crescent Shields are very similar to Shields are cut with an inner crescent edge, allowing the stone to fit up & follow the contours of a Round center stone. They work equally well with a colorless center stone where the shapes blend together or when paired with a colored center, the contrast in shapes are more highlighted with the color contrast.



Oval:

Ovals are a common choice for pairing with center Oval diamond or colored gemstones. They’re a great choice for eternity bands for clients wishing to match Oval engagement rings.

Taper Baguettes, also referred to as Tapers, is one of the most classic & timeless shapes that can used with any shape center stone.



Half Moons:

Kites, also sometimes referred to as Shields are closely related to Taper Bullets & Trilliants, available as either Step Cut or Brilliant cut, they ‘re very versatile, working well with either rounded or angular center stones.



Epaulet:

Epaulets are a cross between a Trapezoid & a Taper Bullet. Available in either a Step Cut or Brilliant Cut, they work well with either long or short center stones & whether you want a full look next to the center stone or just as an accent on a larger center stone. While they’re not yet as popular as Trapezoids or Bullets, in the know jewelers are starting to see the potential Epaulets offer.



French Cut:

French Cuts are most commonly thought of as being square, the traditional shape for this antique cut. But we’ve pushed the envelope with Rectangular French Cuts, French Cut Tapers, French Cut Trapezoids & Graduating French Cut Trapezoids. The unique cutting style of French cuts are the perfect complement to any antique cut center stone or colored gemstone where a little brilliance is wanted but a Brilliant cut is too overpowering.
